Our number one goal is to ensure that the parrots we raise land in the right hands.

Purchasing Requirements: Our priority is to ensure that each parrot who leaves us lands into a home that is well prepared. Every sale begins with a one-on-one discussion that helps us ensure the parrot you choose will be a good fit into your home. Our requirements are not crazy.. we just want you and the bird you decide upon to be happy. During this discussion, we may offer suggestions, provide guidance or other steps to better prepare you for life with a parrot. We always reserve the right to refuse to sell a bird to anyone.

Reserving a Parrot: We do not sell birds before they are weaned and fledged. (Exceptions are made for those experienced in hand feeding and raising baby parrots.) Our reservation policy allows you to place a deposit that will hold your bird until it’s ready to go home with you. This deposit is non-refundable with the following exception: If we are unable to provide the bird once weaned, your deposit will be refunded in full. We consider the deposit forfeited if the bird is not picked up within a reasonable time.

Receiving Your Bird: No bird will leave until the full purchase price has been received. We’re required by Indiana State Law to also collect sales tax at the time of sale. We require that birds leave our place in an appropriate carrier. If you do not have one, we normally have carriers available for purchase. Local delivery is available in some cases. Delivery fees will apply and will be agreed to prior to the sale.

Health Guarantee: We only sell healthy birds. You can be assured that the bird you bring home from us is free of viral and pathogenic bacterial infections, fungal infections and congenital deformities. Any exception to this will be noted on your sales contract at the time of sale. Our birds come with a 4 day (96 hours) health guarantee. We will offer a full refund or replacement bird (if available) should the bird be found to have left us in less than perfect health. Documentation from a certified avian veterinarian describing any health issue will be required. Complete details on our health guarantee are provided in writting on the sales contract you will receive at the time of payment.

Behavior Guarantee: Parrots are capable of being loud, messy and they have a tendency to bite when scared or being protective. We’re always available to help you through specific behavioral issues after the sale. Please understand that there is no guarantee expressed or implied on your bird’s demeanor, noise level or talking ability.

Sales are Final: Other than what is covered under our Health Guarantee and written in your sales contract, all sales are final. Should you decide that your bird is not the right fit for your home, let us know. We can often help find it a new place to better suit its needs.
